Shielded by the promise
of One Who cannot lie,
guided by the Truth,
beneath His watchful eye.

So much at our disposal,
as we dwell within His Rest,
the closer we abide in Christ
the more we see His best.

See His might and goodness,
receive His joy and peace,
come to fully trust Him,
and our burdens then release.

For Christ alone is our Rest
in this world, in which we live,
obedience and faith the path,
to all He has to give.

Yet our desire and focus
should be to seek His face,
then respond, to the love we find,
all accomplished by His grace.
